I've been trawling the net again and found this! Check out the guy who finished in 48th place:

Bloody amazing result, I hope everyone give him the recognition he deserves!
Will anyone be writing him a report for the Comical, as the last one for Dave Thompson was ridiculous for his level of achievement?!

A massive pat on the back for Mark's performance! Do you find this valuable?

Oh yes recognition, thats what i deserve. And beer and pies, lots of pies.

Cos i am so great and because i need to replace the 11 pounds I lost racing in daft temperatures and humidity.

And first british finisher i think, god I am so good.

Coodan, thank god he didn't beat my marathon time or else I'd never live it down :-) Do you find this valuable?

He was 54th apparently, so there must have been a couple of 13 year old girls in front, after all!
Speaking of girls, how come Melvin didn't do the XC last weekend? I looked in the comic for the results and barely recognised any names (except you, Andy)! Well done to those who bothered!

I'm going OK, just found out from the hospital what this seemingly-endless injury woe is. They showed me the MRI scan result and I've got to have an op to trim down the offending disc that is pressing on my sciatic nerve. A microdiscectomy is the technical name for it, so get googling it!

Might bike over to watch the 10k in a couple of weeks if it's nice weather, so see some of you there, maybe!

Andy, he beat my first marathon time, but at least I have the Edinburgh effort to remember!!!! Do you find this valuable?

Good luck with the op Dan - at least they know what the cause of the problem is now.

Mel is injured at the moment - problems with his calf for a few weeks.

Some good pics there, Mark, of you! I did type in 'Hurrell' in the search box and got some other bloke at first; a distant (musclier) relation, perhaps? Did the kids run with you also?!
You need to get some pies down you as your ribs are showing a bit too much! Do you find this valuable?

He should be ok as he is eating a lot of spare ribs at the moment

Well done with the pics Dan - it was good to see Mark finishing with the Kids - just hope he doesn't get disqualfied for being paced by them Do you find this valuable?
