To be re-arranged. Or alternatively I heard they are going to ship in a load of treadmils so Andy Swift can join in.

Heard a little rumour from the hole in the sock gang (Binney ) that there is a possibility there is going to be a half marathon in the Goldthorpe /Bolton Upon Dearne area in 2010 organised by B.A.C.
Any details would be great so we can plan our races next year Thanks

Is anyone in the club meeting up for this annual event? I'm moving to Sheffield in the new year so need to say a farewell to the town.

A good day for Barnsley AC at the Shuffle, considering only 5 were brave enough to run today(or stupid considering the conditions underfoot). Jenny was first W50 home in the race on the day, Kerry 3rd Lady overall in the series and I was first M50 in the series.
It would be nice to see more Barnsley AC Members running next year. The dates are 3rd April, 19th June, 18th September and 27th November. B....r Just realised I can't do the 19th June, that's blown it for defending the title.

Must be nice to do these slowly like Half man half Sponge and Coach OAP so that you can take in all the glorious countryside and wildlife. Must be just like a sunday morning nature ramble for them.

Thanks to all Marshalls and Organisers.
Next year can we have more mud as I was beaten by everybody who I was in front of in last weeks XC Mudfest. The Little bit at the end is not enough. :-)

I've been trawling the net again and found this! Check out the guy who finished in 48th place:
http://www.championchiptiming.com/images/files/static/298Male.htm Bloody amazing result, I hope everyone give him the recognition he deserves! Will anyone be writing him a report for the Comical, as the last one for Dave Thompson was ridiculous for his level of achievement?! A massive pat on the back for Mark's performance!

Well what can I ay. It was the hardest thing I have ever done by far. You all kno I have done many Ultra Marathons none compare. It is deemed the Worlds Hardest Mountain Race by the World Govering Body. It is called the hardest race by the World Chapion of Sky Running. I came 8th in the vets. Ony 24% of running finish it in time . You run up the mountain you gain 2500 meters to the sumit of which is 4093 meters over 8.7 kms. Before to do that you run 1.2km up a steep road and then you run up the mountain and the many steps. rocks and then the last 1.7 km is rope climbing.........The total distance is 21km and I can say if anyone is up for it I WILL ORGANISE it for next year. It is the World Championship of Sky Running. So all thse nterestedet me know???

As I was on holiday for the last Spencers Dash in September and have only got this info secondhand - Can someone clear up the Ladies Series winner - it was in the Chron as Julie Buckley a lady veteran - But how could this be right as Wombwell Sporting A.C. Lady Veteran Gail Colville was well in front before the last leg and I do not think Julie did enough in the last leg to catch Gail up
Sorry to be a pain but it would be great to find out if the info in the Chron was correct or not Many thanks , Dave Allemby

i'm sure i'll get differing views on this but here goes..... if i want to be as good a runner as i think i can be, would taking up 11 a side football be a bad idea?? training on a wed and playing on a sunday. my calfs feel a bit sore the day after (maybe due to the fast sprints) and that cud effect my training on thursday..... the season doesnt start for a few weeks so there is still time to back out of the team
help please!
